Driving round with no back box?

It came clean off but i need to drive m car to k-tec to get another fitted> is there a chance it will cause any damage or just sound like a barry boy?

well as long as i dont put my foot down and cruise at about 65 then it doesnt sounds any louder than a really barry boy in his nova! I might stick in the ear plugs as its a pretty long drive!
If i stick the back box in the boot ill just say it fell off down the road and i picked it up.

Yeah... as said you should be fine with the cops as they'll hardly look and see if you have no back box unless they're following you.

Seriously....it will sound louder at 65-70. I had to drive down the m4 to Cardiff for 100 miles with a backbox.
Your best bet is to go faster....hehe.

I did the drive of shame from Birmingham back to my house in Telford (45 mile drive). Then down to Cardiff the following day to get to Prospeed. They should appreciate that you can't get them to come to your house and fit an exhaust.

Just remember that you'll probably be temporarily deaf in your left ear...I know I was for the day!

drove round for about a month like that! never had police attention or anything. was batty loud and the vibrations will do yer nut... go for it and get an exhaust asap

going for the stealth, dont really want it to change appearance as thats part of the reason i chose the car. would rather change what's underneath!

well i got to ktec with a cracking head ache but was all worth it. got the stealth system fitted. To be fair i couldnt really tell if it was any noisier than the standard system as it had blowing for a little while. It certainly does the job all though is raspy through the revs and then dies out. Definitely better than no back box! Happy Days!
