Dvd burning software

Anyone know which program is best to use for burning dvd video's? Im using Nero and its crap giving me errors all the time :\

What kind of errors are you getting? Nero is normally top of the pops!

Nero is the best you'll get, IMO.

starts per normal then the logs saying..

Invalid field in command
x22:13:12 PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D
Could not perform end of Disc-At-Once
x 22:13:12 Burn process failed at 4x (5,520KB/s)

it goes to 99% etc before it does this and using another disc but its doing the same :\

Does this happen with all DVDs you try to burn? Maybe try a different DVD and/or a different blank DVD.

Could be a media issue?

Have you tried using different media (brand)?

so far its done it on 2 diff blank dvds ( Maxell 1/4x DVD+r) going to try a 3rd one just incase

Try a different media - might be the recorder not liking the dye!

Prob get some better ones tommorow. Running 5.5.10 oem version of Nero if thats any help

Oh, thats old.. probably issues on the DVD side of things.

Also if things carry on like that try a slower burn speed, I've found this can help sometimes.

Yea, I wouldn't burn a 4x disc at 4x.. always slightly lower, but thats me, hehe.

Has your pioneer110D just started giving you errors or was ok before ?
How many wires has your ide cable got ? Pioneers prefer and 80 wire 40 pin ide cable . Also try updating yur firmware from pioneers website .

I always use dvd's with the ritek g05 dye .

Ive only just had the drive put in tbh as got it as an xmas present. Wont let me burn lower than 4x on Nero. Not sure on the IDE cable tho - its a pretty decent one anyways. Will try and update the firmware, thanks

I'll put money on it that its your cable . Standard ide cables only have 40 wires and 40 pins . Get down to a local computer shop tomorrow and get an 80 wire 40 pin ide cable . Only a couple of quid .

Might do that. Its reading from the disc ok tho :\ Just got nero 7 installed and it seems ok now gonna have a play round with it tommorow as need sleep...
