DVD Code 1 to 2

is there anyway of changing a region code 1 DVD to a region code 2 by copying it at all?

go easy on me as I'm not too good with this kinda stuff! haha

good idea although the reason for me wanting to do it is a lack of a region 1 player! haha

thinking about it...my pc has a dvd recorder drive would that be region free?

I think pc work on the fact that they are whatever you put in them the first time...or something like that. What film do you want to copy.....????

not a film..a series. I haven't got it yet but it's only availble in region 1...Rex the Runt...remember it? silly plastercine dogs. Think it was done by Aardman?

Depending on what make your dvd player is you might be able to to make it region free . Type into google " making ........... dvd player region free " . Usually if there are codes out there you should be able to find them through google .

Also you could copy the dvd , for backup purposes only and use something like region free dvd or anydvd . This removes the region code and allows it to play on most dvd players .

What make and model is your dvd player mate ?

haven't got the slightest. I'm at work at the moment so couldn't tell you..

whats free DVD and anydvd? available on the net? I've got some sort of DVD copying software as I've done it before with some of my older scrathed up DVD's but they are already region 2...

Just rip the dvd using any decent dvd ripper software, most automatically make it region free, then burn it to a new dvdr
