DVD Drive Help!

I've just fitted a new DVD drive to my computer it reads dvds no problem but won't play them?
Do i have to download some software or something to allow them to play on my computer?
Anyone help me out?

Download powerdvd, Didn't you get software with the dvd rom?

yeah or stick in a dvd with loads of interactive features, they usually have interactive dvd on them so you can instal that and watch dvds

WMP doesn't play DVD's by default. It still needs a DVD decoder to play DVD's.

VLC IS VERY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Plays EVERY THING i have Chucked at it.
