DVD Ripping software

Does any know of any good software to rip DVD's so you can watch them on a portable media player?
Ideally would want to rip using the DivX codec.

Smart DVD ripper works okay... or else DVD decrypter and then recode the vob files with nero - mpeg4 or some other program.
