DVD Ripping Software

Been out of the market for some time now, so wondered if anybody could point me in the direction of the current best freeware application for decrypting and ripping DVD.

dvdshrink

and dvd decrypter (then dvdshrink) if it's protected.

dvdfab is a great 1stop shop but isn't as quick as shrink and costs money...however it has the best decryption overall i think and will get past protection that dvd decrypter doesn't

I use DVDdecrypter. Have done for years and it has never failed me.

If your Mac, for ripping use Handbrake or Mac the Ripper and use VLC for encoding i believe.

handbrake works on linux and windows too.

DVD shrink for me. Never a problem aslong as the disc isnt scratched
