Eagle F1's vs pirelli P nero vs Toyo T1R's

Hey guys,

My PE2s are just about dead and cant warrant the 400 pounds to replace them.. :|

So as the title states the three options which would you go for ? I had Eagle F1's but they wore very quickly, Quite a few reconmend the Toyo's and i havent heard alot about the pirelli's at all.

My eagle F1's lasted 4k for reference...

F1s - £58
P Nero - £55
T1R's - £48

Cheers guys

You seen the tyre poll above ?

How on earth did you only get 4k's use from a set of F1's ?? I had them on fwd turbo'd car & got loads more than that.

I'd go for the F1's again i think, its just the weak side walls they seem to have that steers me towards toyo's

Don't "need" them no, there the correct size but like 172 cup's run 195/45 and there a damn sight cheaper so i dont see the point really, plus less tram lining too :p

Conti's then, standard 172 tyre.

Really liked them on my old one, had them on a focus before too
All a matter of opinon tho.

got new f1s on mine all round and if i had to chose i would go back to my contis on my other wheels defo more road feel as the f1s feel too wobbly
might get better with a few miles on them but first impressions arnt as good as contis

^ someone who agrees with me
yeah for defo mate
got contis on my 182 wheels and needed tyres for the 172 wheels so went with the advice of most on here tbh and yeah there a good looking tyre(not that has anything to do with it) but even with the XL side walls they still move so much under hard cornering
contis ftw imo

i agree with the sidewall flex which is why i wanted to try toyo's never heard of conti's being rated highly

well that makes me laugh tbh as the satndard tryes on 182 get all the credit but the standard tyres on 172 is contisports and they should get credit too as ive had them for ages and they grip very well last very well and aint to expensive so they tick the boxes imo

toyos vs conti's,pfft no contest..............conti's all over

Had contis, P zeros, and Yokos. f1s for me now, never had a better tyre on the car. Grip well in the dry, and grip really well in the wet. Can't comment on wear just yet.

F1's feel crap on standard pressures, need to be about ten percent higher than standard.

this is what im currently trying warren4
got them at 35 front 33 rear
what pressures did you find the best??

Toyo's of that lot. I've got T1-R's on the Vee.

PE2 is overrated imo, the parada is a better dry tyre and the conti is better in the wet, so...where does that put the PE2...In the middle, V avg!

Agreed, im sure its a phsycological thing, people think it must have more grip because it cost twice as much. Ive never had trouble with toyos either, Started using PX4's - there a good tyre

After days of reading threads on here a couple weeks back i was no closer to deciding what tyres to buy. Opinions on here are so varied that everything but God (or Exalto as they're also known) get a consistantly good review.

In the end i decided to just get Conti's cus they were £59 fitted each and Renault must've put them on the car a standard for a reason.

So far my opinion of them is very high but i honestly have nothing to compare them to.

Where did you get them for that price, online?

I searched all the online suppliers...camskill, my tyres, black circles etc but ended up getting them at a local tyre garage. I thought it was worth a quick call to them cus they are known to be very reasonable and i do like to be thorough in my research lol

I've just checked the invoice and it was actually £59 plus VAT but still a proper good deal
