Early cambelt???

I know the cambelt on 182s doesnt need to be changed until 72k service but i have seen a few being changed between 40 and 60k miles. Is this worth doing as my car is on 44k miles????

How old is the car? 4 years upwards Id be doing it tbh. Lot less ££ than a new engine!

I think people get them changed because theres the issue with the aux belt changing on around 36k (??) and it works out cheaper to get both done at the same time. If the aux belt has already been done, leave it. Also as John said about depends on the age of the car.

I'd leave it another year and even that would be playing it safe.

Guess your worrying as your warrenty just ran out?

I know some people who left it over 7 years to change cambelt and they were ok.

Yeh warranty just run out but i do have a years extended warranty. No idea what that actually covers tho!

I'd never leave it more than 4 years or 60kl unless you've a Renault Uk warently to fall onto.
