COME ON WHO WAS IT
Q:Hi there Mr Navss, i've never read so much false advertising in your description! Firstly the vehicle was never a '172 Cup' as they only come in blue & silver, different interior, no sunroof among many other things you have wrong. Secondly these engines do not fetch any more than £1000-2500...not sure where you got your figure from! Thirdly being cat B thats a potential death trap on a race circuit! Just to let you know I bought my roadgoing 50k real 172 with a years ticket and tax for £2.5k 2 months ago so your buy it now figure is a little optimistic to say the least. Just thought i'd let you know lol15-Aug-06
A:Thanks for that, As per item description, the vehicle is not mine - if it were you'd be picking fault with a lot of seperate listings for parts coz i'd have broken it, so quite why you think i'd be interested is a mystery to me - PLEASE CONTACT THE SELLER USING THE CONTACT DETAILS AT THE END OF THE ITEM DESCRIPTION!!! Point 1: the car was bought by my friend as you see it now for spares to repair his rolled 172, and was repaired and resprayed (yes it was previously silver so you got something right) to its current standard by the previous owner. It has the 172 cup engine, gearbox, suspension, bodykit, wheels, dash, looms, ecu's etc etc etc and since it is a SALVAGE listing advertising really doesn't come into it - it is what it is. Point 2: It says in the listing that the engines fetch 800 quid - fact! i've seen a few go for that kind of money with more mileage than the 19k this ones done, so your point is a bit....well.....pointless really. Point 3: The listing says it would make a cheap BASIS for a race/track car - also true. The running gear from this car put onto an undamaged chassis WOULD make a good track car. Point 4: Well done you!! if you got a roadgoing low mileage £6000+ car for 2.5k then you're obviously not a complete tool after all. If you make a habit of trailing listings looking for faults to pick at i would suggest you at least read them properly before you do
Many thanks for the (mis)information - i'll make sure the owner gives it the consideration it deserves.... Lucky
