Ecotek CB26P

Car  E36 323i coupe

Has anyone fitted one of these to a 172 CUP? If so, does it improve the fuel economy and the mid range acceleration as it has done in my current 1.2 16V?

I have one, but Ive never fitted it to my Cup and wont be doing so...

Had it on my 306 Rallye and it did f*ck all to either performance or economy so did nowt apart from make a daft noise!

But if you want your car to go SCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHKKKKKZZZZZZZZ every time you back of the throttle, or make it sound like you have someone slurping their tea under your bonnet, the Ecotek IS the way forward.

Ah..so this little beauty has risen from the ashes..
People are bound to keep asking, and Im bound to keep on telling people to save their money for something more useful.....like a chocolate teapot.

Interesting... the one fitted on my current car is great. Mid range acceleration is much improved and fuel economy... well I do an average of 57mpg. Need I say more.

As for the noise, you could hear a sort of breathing noise when it was first fitted, but now 20,000miles later, there is no noise whatsoever, and hasnt been any since about 500miles after fitting. Maybe cos I had it fitted by an approved dealer/fitter.

Does anyone have any good experiences of one fitted on a Cup?
