ECU Immobilizer

On a Mk1 Ph3 if I change the ECU for a D-Type Engine ECU with out an Immobilizer. Would I need to remove or change the decoder unit + receiver?

nope it younew ecu doesn't need a imobiliser just check the wiring will be ok they nmaybe problems

I put an new ECU on the car. With out an immobilizer. The immob light still flash slow and then when i turn the key it flashes fast and i can't start the car

Does ^^ (the way the lights flashing fast when i try turn it on) 100% mean its the immob.
