ECU Learning Mode: How Long?

  Works...kind of...
I reset my my ECU 20 miles ago, and it feels like it's still in learning mode (slugish)

Anyone know how long it stays in learning mode for? I couldn't find anything in a search.

Would be nice to know when I reset it again (I'm always "tinkering")

It's a 1.2 Mk1 Phase3.

Thankyou. :)

how did you reset it mate?
if you have it will continuosly be in learning mode thats why it has all these sensors so it can constantly adjust to suit the conditions and what your asking from it.
if you thought the car was feeling sluggish to cause you to disconnect it maybe the engine itself needs looked at

It was quicker before I reset the ECU (by disconnecting the battery for an hour)

The reason I did reset it was because I cleaned out the throttle body as it was stalling on idle.

I know that older Vauxhalls stay in "learning" mode for around 100 miles after the ECU is reset., was just wondering if it worked like that for Clio's.

Never heard of learning mode on OEM Clio ECUs mate. You reset them and then off they go.

  Vectra :(
When i got my group N ecu it took about 200-300 miles of driving to get it to sort itself out, BBPT and KTEC say that all should be normal after a few hundred mile.

In actual fact mine seemed spot on after about 100miles, the only thing that took longer was for it to set the idle, it idled at about 1100rpm for 200mile and when i stopped at the light etc it would almost cut out for the first 50 or so miles.

All good now tho..
Hope that helps

Rick
