Eibach Camber Bolts

  Titanium 182
Hi all, just still getting to know my new 182 (Lawro's old one) and due to it being my daily drive and not really getting the advantages over uneven tire wear I want to remove the negative camber (1.5 degrees) that is currently applied using the Eibach camber bolts. Now unfortunately I don't have the original bolts so can I remove the negative camber myself or do I need to remove the Eibach bolts and swap back to standard?

Thanks in advance!

im sure people have said on here said, them camber bolts do not make a noticeable difference on tyre wear

hmm I think it must be in this case as the MOT certificate has listed an advisory for uneven wear on the front 2 tyres, which Lawro told me was caused by the bolts

why don't you just get the alignment checked first and providing everything is OK get them to take a bit of camber off, std set up (if cup packed) is -0.45` +/- 0.30`, so if you went on the max tolerance it is not much different to what you have already.

Ok will do, and reason why I didn't just do that is camber is very new to me so I wanted to double check I couldn't just take the wheel off and reset it myself without needing any special tools etc. Thanks for the input!

  Many.
Tracking will wear the tyres 10x faster than Camber.

I'd rather have a tiny tiny amount of tyre wear for the improved feel of the car with camber.

If you would like the standard bolts, I will happily send them up to you mate.
Thanks pal! Well I'm taking the car out for a 'proper' drive this weekend as my friend is saying I should just leave them on as it's well worth it lol I think I am just over exaggerating the tire wear in my head is all! If I do decide to take them off you I will obviously paypal you some $$$ over! Any pics of the new whip yet?!

The tyres are peanuts anyway really and it's well worth having the camber for the extra car feel IMO! If you want them give me a shout mate and I will happily fire them through the post for you.

Same here, I'm running 1,5 neg degrees of camber for some years now without any visible tyre wear. I'd check the alignment first of all. Also, why throw away the camber bolts? what if one of the front dampers is slightly missaligned? you will get different values using standard bolts.
Better keep the camber bolts and get the camber to whatever value you want, and equal on both sides ;)

Actually not equal both sides, better having about .3 more negative on left than right to compensate for road camber
