Eibach Suspension

  RS Clio 182
Was looking at suspension section earlier on k tec site for 182 and found some springs which lower the front 20mm and the rear 15mm so as to retain the cars original stance but a little lower. Anyone know anything about these springs and long shot this one if you have this set on your 182 and have pics would be great to see.

Sportlines are cool, they stiffen the ride up a bit for better handling and lower a fair amount too.

Yeh its the eibach pro`s Ive seen which I`m thinking about. Cheers for pics Craig. Have you lowered the back more than the front on yours?

Go for the sportlines mate, subtle drop which looks nicer but not obviously lowered.

I had sportlines, then went through 2 sets of coilovers which were both over 1k's worth, and now i'm back with sportlines wondering why i ever swapped!

So from sportlines you went to pro`s then back again?? .I better take a look at the sportlines too.

I went from sportlines, to H&R coilovers, to AST coilovers, then back to sportlines.

yeh I prefer the subtle look, I looked at the sportlines on K-Tec just now, 30mm all-round which could look alright, although I did like the sound of the pros by lowering the front more so the car kept its original look but just a little lower but a 15mm drop on the front doesnt seem much.

Sportlines :D

Noticeable improvement to the handling and a very subtle drop too :)

Probably one of the best mods you can do to suspension without resorting to coilies

In my opinion better than coilies, but on track coils will come into their own.

A few old ones of mine, before and after:

And a recent one of it now, but not the best pic:

Were the changes purely to do with handling? If so, sportlines better than the coilies?

Changes were due to getting decent deals on the coilovers, but back to sportlines as i needed the AST money for my R6 that I bought.

The sportlines make my car faster and better on the road, no doubt about it. On a smooth road the coils would be a lot better, but how many of them do we have over here?!
Seem to be a lot more progressive, plus lift off oversteer is easier to control as the back is that bit softer.

There is no way AST's are 10x better than sportlines, even though they are 10x the price.

Yes standard in first pic mate. Other 2 are with sportlines fitted, but the last they werent settled properly, sits a lot better now.

Thanks, good to know as I was wondering whether to go down the coilover route this summer or same some money for other things and go for sportlines. Think I'll go with the eibachs.

I think (off the top of my head) they're 30mm front, 15mm rear.
As mine had the cup suspension pack it sits marginally lower as standard anyway.
Does yours have the cup suspension?

  RS Clio 182
Well I have the cup pack so I presume that means thats the suspension is included. I like the look on yours, thats probably the way I`ll be heading. How does the ride compare to the standard suspension?

Upload them to photobucket, or similar mate.

The ride is slightly harsher yeah but the handling is much improved. I think the Prolines are a better bet if you're overly worried about ride quality but they don't sit quite as low.

I`ve just checked those pro`s out again, I think I`ll be happy 30mm all round plus at the mo with standard suspension you do feel every little bump but then I guess thats part and parcel of sports suspension. I can imagine the sportlines being even harsher like you said

the prolines only lower about 10-15mm they say 30mm but thats for non-sports i think on the RS you will struggle to see the difference.
in my opinion
