  Golf R soon...
Hello!

Any of you guys have mods with elephant insurance. If so what is the premium increase like for exhausts, induction kits etc???

Cheers for the replies in advance :)

yup £30 a year for something that actually slows the car down lol

Sounds a bit odd :S

I thought an induction kit was supposed to let the engine breath easier thus being able to rev it more.

Or does this depend on the induction kit you by?

its all marketing bullshit tbh

most induction kits r open which means the air it pulls in from the engine bay is warm air, to increase performance you need cold air...warm air just deacreases performance. all to do with oxygen density

a closed induction kit such as the piperx viper with a dedicated cold air feed will pull in cold air and POSSIBLY increase performance although not by much.

what cant be argued about though is that sexy induction noise :D

^ depends on the induction kit but most are crap. If you go onto elephant.co.uk you can get a quote and choose the mods that you want on the policy. Should give you a better idea.
