It's an OBD2 interface to read engine data and ECU adaptions etc. from the OBD2 interface.

Oh and Kev thats a shite one. There is a much more reasonable version that has the OBD2 connector moulded as part of the case. They're pretty damn bomb proof and reliable compared to most and only about a tenner more.
