Emails on my K850i

Hi

I would like to set up my K850i to receive my emails from Hotmail...

I have no idea where to start with this, so can anyone help? Does it cost much to receive the emails?

many thanks, Dan.

Hmmm not sure if you can do it

Great answer.

Dan, not possible without a premium account.

mobile.live.com on your phones browser is the best bet.
Or better still get a gmail account and you can have push email (imap)

You can access hotmail on o2 active under messaging and chat although I'd rather have push email tbh. I did activate my gmail account but couldnt seem to get it to work, any idea on the settings on phone and email account to get it to push them to the phone?

whats push email?
is it where your phone is not always connected to the net, axcept when receiving new emails?

I wanted to use the email client built into the phone if possible. Could i set up a gmail account but have my hotmail emails diverted through it?

Push email is basically blackberry/sms style emails.

I send it, you get it without touching a thing.
Its data intensive as its always on (10-15mb a month i reckon) but you can set it up to do headers and get that down to under 5mb.

when i get to a a200 phone i will post a guide.

if hotmail supports forwarding then yes thats fine, but it doesnt i think.

so the alternative, POP3 will allow me to access my emails on demand instead of being always connected?

That would suit me better i think as I only have limited free data on my tarriff.

i get my k850i tomorrow, i use two e-mail accounts, gmail and what was talk21 which you know access through btyahoo, can i hook these up to always be online to get e-mails? i have 200mb of usage a month to use
