engine bay dimensions

Hi guys I'm looking at using a clio 172 engine running gear and subframe in my Hillman imp just wondering if anyone would know the engine bay dimensions or be happy to crack out a tape measure to see how high the top of the engine is from the ground and the measurements from each side of the engine to the edge of the bay.

They are very tall! But you can save 6" by using ITBs

Sounds awesome, I have no idea of the dimensions but can always measure at the eekend for you if no one has got back to you by then.

How come your using a 172 engine? Got any pics of your Imp?

33" wide between chassis legs. 27" bulkhead to front cross member. Engine is 27/8" to top of plenum.
