engine change mk2 ph2

  182/ 172 Cup
wondered if any one can help, i can get hold of a 1.6 16v engine for next to nothing out of a mk2 ph2 clio and i have a 1.2 16v mk2 ph2 clio, some people would say not worth doing the change i no, but i have access to a good workshop and would enjoy doing it, what would i have to change? all the wiring loom? sub frame? gearbox? im not sure would appreciate your help. thanks

engine + box you can use your shafts + subframe but you would need to change engine and dash loom including the ecu and uch from the donor car and depending what the 1.6 came out of you have to deal with climate control etc
also steering is a problem as your 1.2 will be electric and inoperative with the 1.6
for the amount of work you might as well stick a 2.0 in

There a few ways roun it common option is to swop all internal and engine side looms for the one form your car.

1.6 use electric racks just like the 1.2 (ok 1.6 is a more owerful rack but its the same system as such and no issue using it with a 1.6 engine realy).

I'd save the hastle and either get a 2.0 engine or another engien from another car which has more cheap potential or a better gearbox etc or sell up and buy the 2.0 etc.
