Engine code number

Does anyone know what this number means??? 3913 I had my car diagnostic tested and it came up with - 3913 Coolant Fan Stage 2.
I thought it was the engine coolent temp sensor but when i changed it and tried the cancel the fault it wouldn't cancel! please help!!!!!!!

when it was plugged in what computer or diagnostics machine was it? if it wasn't a clip then you may have problems cancelling or erasing some faults you need to leave them to go out on their own. they tend to go out if there are 3 seperate starts with no error.
if you have changed the coolant sensor also check the wiring going into it this is a common problem due the wiring not having enough play in it.
