hi

jus got in car and started her up and the electronic fault light came on, turned her off and started again same thing.drove along for a bit in the limp mode and thought i would stop again, this time no warning lights came on and the car drove fine. i then entered the motorway via the long swooping slip road and the light came on again but this time with the light for monitoring exhaust gasses!

can anybody tell me what is going wrong and how much it is to fix, cant bear driving in limp mode!

hi mate, mine has been doing the same thing, its either the coilpack, about 60 quid, or the throttle position sensor and pedal, about 90 quid or dirty inlet manifold and plugs need changing, or combination of everything!!! limp mode sucks ass!

yea tell me bout it! well now limp mode has gone (for the time being i expect!) but the emmissions light thing is still on but seems to drive ok. the only i have noticed recently is that when u boot it about half way through the rev range it seems to hesitate for a moment?

does any1 know if this will effect the emmissions or anythinhg on the MOT?

If your emissions light has come on, then yes it will, usually. I suspect a lambda sensor in the exhaust, seems quite common.

Either get it plugged in to find exactly what it's thinking the problem is, or sell it me cheap and i can track-day it.
