Engine loom

Going to make my engine loom from scratch again as I'm having problems with my cps. Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct cables I will need?

i only need a meter or 2 of each colour (or shall I just do it all black?) so don't want to buy whole reels of the stuff.

also will I have a problem with the cps and the screen if I cut the loom in the middle and put a plug on it?
for example I have ecu in glovebox, loom running through the car and wheel arch to fuse box under bonnet, cut the loom in fuse box and put them into a female plug then have an engine loom with a male plug that plugs into the female end?
Mainly just for ease of removing the engine but also has better fault finding opportunities. I am worried about the screen though

Found somewhere to buy the cable, can anyone tell me what size it is.

Seriously, why the entire loom? Just buysome shielded 3-core from Maplins and re-run the CPS if that's all your suffering with.

I'm not happy with the finish, having time to look at it I have found a better way to do it and after reading some stuff I realise I have done something wrong.

will cost me less than £20 to re-do it so I can rule out the loom then if it still doesn't work then ill move on to finding the problem

When me and MickPM did the throttle wiring on my car, most the cables looked to be 16/0.20... So that's what we used

Just or future reference omex told me 0.5mm will do the job
