Engine management light...

.... came on tonight.

Was on the way home tonight and I was sat waiting in traffic down a steep hill. Car seemed fine but then the engine management light started flashing. Couldn't stop as the traffic was behind me and it was on a narrow road. Got rolling through the lights and went on for about 3 minutes if that and it went off.

Now one thing I forgot to mention is that tonight the rain was horrible. All the roads were flooding and I could barely see through the windscreen it was that bad, like a monsoon. Anyone in the Bradford area could vouch for that.

Car is fine and has been since I have owned it over the last 2 and a half weeks, never missed a beat so just wondering if it's the rain that was at fault tonight.

Cheers :) :)

Probably a wet sensor but it could be anything. It might be the oil sensor on a hill thinking there no oil as its sumped forward so check your oil level.

Right will get that checked tomorrow. Thanks for that.

Any other things I could check whilst I'm at it.

If there was a majoy problem surely it would have stayed on. Or does it flicker on and then off as a warning type thing????
