Drove my 2005 182 cup to Cornwall and back last week and on the last 2 days the engine started playing up. If the the throttle was pressed around half way or sits at about 3000rpm, it would stutter, as if not all cylinders were firing. On light or full throttle it ran fine (just quite and aggressive style of driving!) but there also seemed to be a strong smell of exhaust gas coming into the cabin. Wonders if it might be caused by a sensor or perhaps an injector problem?
Weirdly, drove the car this week and it stopped doing it, but going to get it checked out anyhow. The engine light is still on though. Does this signify a problem is still present or does it need to be put out once connected to diagnostics?
