engine running when cold

Hi,i was just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i have got. when i start my engine from cold and start driving the engine kind of jolts abit between 2000rpm and 3000rpm and then it feels like the engine decides to kick in at 3000rpm. when my engine is warm i have no problems at all and it runs smoothly. any help would be great,cheers.

It's normal. Someone will explain why, but I forgot even though it was a recent thread. I'd do a li'l search.
