what are the differences beetween this being on and off?

Turns the ESP off and on. ESP is the electronic stability program, recommended to keep it on (especially in the rain) unless your on a track day.

Part of the system is TC so best bet is to leave it on.

I never had Esp / TC on my 172 and tbh i forget i have in on my 182 so i've only turned it off a few times . With it on , the only noticeable difference is the 182 doesn't wheel spin half as much as my 172 did from junctions in the wet . Other than that i've only seen the esp light flicker a handful of times on a few roundabouts .

I think the ESP has saved my butt twice, I'd keep it on if I were you. However, people on here will either go one way or the other as to it's benefits.

Edit: Actually might have been three times after last week's meet lol.

I just turned the ESP off for the first time all winter cos of all the shitty wet weather w'eve had - and the car is MUCH quicker and more exciting to drive - do people keep it on even in dry weather? Its just not as exciting to drive with the ESP turned on..

Of course if its even slightly wet i'll turn it on,but im asking about dry conditions..

First of all I m new. studying in sarajevo and citizenship from Turkey. Just I wanted to ask that I need that esp board with button. now i have just light adjustment. probably it's about year of car. My rs is from 2001 but ph2. Where can I find this button (with board or not) by the way, if i find this and install, will it work or not? I think yes because I have the esp light on main board dash.thank you

It is brutally intrusive in my opinion, yes it has saved my bacon a few times but it can also land you in the s**t.

Like, when you are "on it" in a corner and lose a bit of grip, hey presto....power off - tail ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

On that note, does anyone ever notice, almost a lag in this ESP system?
