ESP - couldnt find it on search

Does anyone know if ESP stabilises the rear wheels aswell or is it just the drive wheels? Didnt seem to do much earlier when back end wetn out and didnt see it light up on the dash so im thinking probably not. Any input appreciated

ESP has the ability to control engine revs to control lateral forces on the rear wheels in an oversteer, if that is not enough then it can apply/reduce brake pressure to individual wheels, front or back depending if oversteer or understeer to make the car pivot round on that wheel to bring the vehicle back in line.
