Ethernet cable question

Please don't tell me to google this and then lock the thread as i've already googled it..
Basically, are there any cables/adapters about that i can use so that i can have the PC plugged in at the same time as the xbox 360 so both can be on the net at the same time? As in sharing the modem connection?
Mrs and i fall out because i hog the internet on xbox 360 when she needs to use the internet on the PC.

Lol yes its a router you need, these are common in most households nowadays. A wireless router might be beneficial if you bought a wireless router (Usually around £40-50) which will have 4 LAN ports and a wireless access point so you can connect your something wireless in the future (laptop, ps3, phone etc).

No offence to you but I'm actually astounded that someone on this forum doesn't know what a router is. It's not a bad thing, I'm just surprised

get one from pc worst, any router will do.
