Evening all...please help!!

Hi lovely people of cliosport, I am on the hunt for a 182 at the moment to replace my fiesta zetec s!! In love with the cars and although I can't afford one for a couple of months I've started looking at ones like http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2540201.htm to get an idea of price etc. Now to me this seems quite cheap so I rang up and it hasn't had any belts changed or been serviced by dealer since 30k miles, it's been done by the owner since then. Would this not be a great car to buy given the fact the aux belt has never been changed as my understanding is it has to be done every 36k miles/5 years?

By the way this forum is awesome, there's some right fit cars on here lol I'm going to like it hear!!!

Not a bad price, but you will need to factor in the cost of Belts doing ASAP if you look at something like that. Depending on your location there are a number of specialists out there who can change belts for a reasonable cost, I would get a few quotes for a belt change and then negotiate a price on the car from there

Welcome mate, there's nothing wrong with buying a car that needs it's belts doing, I did. Means at least you know for certain that it's been done and who it's been done by.

I would be looking ot buy one with a FSH at a specialist though tbh. What is your budget likely to be? Service history is the single most important thing on these.... if they've been looked after, they'll look after you.
