Ex warranty

Hi,

Im still looking for a Clio V6 and have been checking things out like extended warranty.....................Ive just spoken to 2 Renault dealers and they say NO an extended warranty is NOT availabe via Renault.

Does anybody know the real story?

Dealers might offer there own warenties but I think an extended Renault warently can only be bought when you buy the car new which extends it to 5yrs and 120k max and it doesnt cover everything ie wear and tear.

You should be able to get a yrs warently as standard from a Renault dealer selling them car ie similar to Vauxhall where ny car sold under there scheme is covered for a year.

You could always if you wanted to look into an aftermarket one offered by a few companies, not sure if there are any V6 deals out there but might be worth a look if you want.

Personally I wouldnt bother buying an aftermarket one they dont cover a lot of work.

yeah youre rite about the aftermarket ones edde......................theyre not usually worth the paper theyre written on eh.

But the few cars that I have enquired about all say that the warranty can be extended for a futher 1year....................implying from Renault............wierd eh

I cannot see this best idea to ring Renault UK thought. The V6 might be able to get some special deal.

Your right about the aftermarket stuff they cover so little and the bits it covers are unlikly to break under normal use anyway.
