excel help

trying to round a column of numbers to 2 dp

but when you add them all together its not doing it

ive tried

=round(a1,2) and there still this

Im trying to upload an excel journal into SAP for those that know it

I might be missing something but can you not just use the little buttons in the tool bar, look like a small arrow followed but 0 and dots "->.0.00" kinda like that lol

I just tried your formula and it rounded them no problem

it rounds no probs but the sum had 0.000000045785 or something like that

ah I see. I think I had an issue with this before. Couldn't get the totals to agree as the sum was still taking into account the extra decimals.

What I done was copied the cell with the formula (to 2 decimal places which appears correct) and paste special as values.

nope wouldnt work...needs to be exactly 2 dp and the information comes into excel from another programs. All very complex s**te

i think what made it work was converting the column to text

I must have misunderstood the problem I just thought it was the total of the rounded figures that was causing the problem, hence suggesting round(sum(B:B),2) where column B is the rounded figure.

You can right click on columns/cells and change values to only show to 2dp through the options, no formulae required? or have I misunderstood the ask here?
