Excess and how you go about paying it?

  Black Gold with cup packs
right I have a £250 excess with direct line. but because I am 22 there is an additional £250 to be payed so basically £500. I have made a claim as I hit my front right hand wheel on a curb, buckled it quite badly and my drivers seat air bag popped. Other than that I dont think there is much more damage. As far as excess goes, is it that I have to pay £500 upfront before they do any work? or do they add it on to my policy throughout the year?

£500 straight up is a bit steep don't they give you some way of paying it off in installments. They should as I have always payed my insurance no questions asked and have never made a claim!

But saying this don't they need to assess the damage and give you a quote for repairs before charging you the excess!

You will pay your excess once the repair work is complete.

If your car is written off. They take the excess off of the final payout fee.

*Edde beat me!*
