Excuse my ignorance...

Car  Mk3 SX
...but what does T-cut actually do? i'm told it can repair scratches. I don't have any scratches on my car but was wondering how it works. I assume you have to get some that is the right colour for your car?

Re: Escuse my ignorance...

Removes bigger scratches and replaces them with millions on micro ones! It's b****cks really.

Avoid any sort of colourance polishes/glazes.

It is very old fashioned cutting polish and unlike newer products which break down to a fine finishing polish as you work them, with T Crap the abrasive level of it remains the same if you have worked it for 10 seconds or 10 mins, meaning it is impossible to get a good finish from it - as wee Ali says as it leaves millions of smaller marks.

Also, I forgot to say I had some old Turtle Scratch-X type stuff and tried using it on a localised mark on my car to see how it faired, and it looked TERRIBLE afterwards. Had to go back to IP with the PC and then refine it...so just don't go there either!
