This has probably been covered before or is a bit of an obvious answer, but I'm a bit confused right now. About 2-3 weeks ago I fitted a sportex cat back to my 1.2, and my MPG on the readout has been a steady 39.5 ish MPG. Before I fitted the sportex and had the standard system on, I was averaging a good 45.
I can't work out why the exhaust would make such a big difference? All the lambdas are still there, so it's not messing with the ECU's fueling. So's the cat. If anything it might have been my lead foot, but I've been steady with it the past week and nothing's changed.
Am I gonna have to admit defeat and go back to the standard exhaust? Otherwise this is gonna get expensive...
