Exhaust Centre section

I have the opertunity to buy, very cheap a centre section fo my exhaust on a mk1 1.2, 95 clio. But when looking at the existing system the standared pipe is a straight through one, it doenst have an expansion chambe, so will i get any benefit from this centre section?

the 1.2 is straight through

the 1.4 has a silencer

i got a new 1.2 centre section for £12.99

just fitted my new exhaust today and it had a silencer aand i have a 1.2??

Mine definatly only has the silencer on the backbox, and the cat - whihc i will be repalcing soon anyways, just wanted to know if it was worth getting this straight through centre section

1995, N-reg, looking in the haynes manual there are two types, one wiht teh silencer, and one without, mine is without.

the straight through pipe one is probably cheaper so id fit that one.
