Exhaust emissions light flashing

Ran a search and found a few of threads about this. Mine started flashing on the way home from work just now, pulled over and turned the engine off, waited 30 secs and turned back on. Was fine for a few mins and then it started flashing again. Although it stopped after about 30 secs-1 min.

Felt no loss in power though, no odd smells or sounds either. Any ideas? I had a look in the book and it said to slow down however I was in start stop traffic! I'm reluctant to calling Renault and being charged a bomb!

Its nothing,i just ignore it - it goes off after about a minute like you said. Mine normally comes on when im wating at traffic lights - but then it switches off when i start driving - its been doing it in my 182 for the last couple of years - maybe once a week. It hasnt effected the car at all in my experience,just some sort of electronic glitch.
