Exhaust monitor light....again!!

I have owed my 182 for about 7 months now, and for the 3rd time the exhaust monitor light has come on. The last two times renault have told me that it was just a faulty sensor. Iv had enough tbh having to visit renault every two months for them to replace a sensor. The thing is the light has come on while iv been driving up a long hill on a dual carriageway the last two times - does anyone know of any reason for this. My mate who use to have a vtr said the same thing happened to him.

when i had my 182 the light came on 3 times Renault first replaced both sensors, then when it came on again they replaced the downstream sensor then the third time they did both sensors and the cat

The same light came on in my 182 for a few days. In my case it coincided perfectly with using 95RON petrol (I was forced to) and went away when I next filled up with 98RON.

Thanks for that, today i also had to use 95ron - il fill up with 98ron and see what happens.

How can you tell which 'ron' fuel you are filling up with? I used to use normal unleaded but have started using v-power - is v-power 98 Ron?

It usually says on the pump
