Exhaust tips

  182
Not entirely sure if this has been covered. My 182 exhaust tips are the smaller ones and don't really go well with the car

I'm not looking to replace the whole exhaust just for bigger tips as I think the OEM one that it on at the minute is fine.. has anyone ever just bolted a couple of aftermarket tips onto the existing ones. would this work, just to make it look more beefier thats all im after

Because of the placement of the tips you wouldn't be able to fit 'false' tips as they would stick out too far and be too obvious mate

Best bet would be to replace the back box if you didn't want to do the full system or replace the tips for larger ones with a bit of cut and welding

Ahh mkes sense..

Shame the factory fitted ones are not bigger! I want people to see the tips clearly - cant have people thinking im driving a "normal" clio lol

You might to able to go somewhere that does custom exhausts and see if they could cut your old tips off and replace them with larger ones

I know, part of the reason I will be making the trade to a scorpion exhaust when I get a bit of money

You mean like above? ;)

I'd just pick up a full second hand system through here.

If you pay to have tips put on the standard exhaust, the exhaust will rust and die, then you'll have a rusty exhaust with nice tips.

A decent exhaust will help you with resale too should you come to sell it - I personally would avoid most 182's with standard exhausts because I know it would be an instant £200+ job (double that doing it properly with a new Scorpion or Milltek).

K-Tec systems seem to pop up for around £150-200, I think they're only £250 new?
