Extreme Mk1 stripping.

:) going to the extreme when stripping my mk1 ph1 Clio ( you may have seen my project thread ;) )
Just wondering if any one has any ideas of ANY thing no matter how small that can be removed.
i'm not botherd if it removes Kg's or gram's. as long as it can be safely removed and not needed :)

Cheers

if the cars not going to be road legal then you could think about removing all the lights and replacing with custom carbon fiber covers...

  M2 Competition
To be fair mate thats going to be pretty light already. Not much more you can remove that will make any difference...

  Mk1 Maxim Sport
cut away the metal dash thats left, and then cut through the footwells so u can rest ur feet on the engine or fred flinstone style, through the floor!!

On a serious not, uv taken pretty much every think that can be done now mate, mite wanna try putting it back together lol

Every day i look at it i keep seeing more and more stuff thats not needed lol. ( so dont really wana finish it up untill i'm 100% use its as light as it can be ;)

removing all the locks and joints in the passanger door and welding it up, basically like cut all unnecessary sills and weld just the basic door panel on.

also could try treadmill for 6 hours a day and living on one meal.

think u should name the car somethin to do with size 0 haha

I still want the car to pass an MOT so i can drive it to track days :-D
Don't the doors have to have a manual way of opening from the inside ??

HAHA Size 0 (I'm going have to look into a number plate or some thing ;) )

im not sure on that for an mot. now im sure i seen somehwere a euro'd punto tht had these wing mirrors that were just like a metal rod thing going onto a round mirror, kinda like an extendable bathroom mirror with a flexible straight shaft thingy. could remove the mirrors and get something along those lines. if u knwo what i mean. I think for the mot it would be cool to only have one door for exit. I hope after all this you wont be taking passangers and only have one seat haha

ps what have u done with the bootlid. is that still using a lock or are you welding tht into place

Passengers weigh 2 much ;)
The Bootlid is a single Skinned metal bootlid thats Pinned into place.
With Plastic window.

I've made my standard mirrors pretty light and they still look normal ;-)
But this does mean they have to be pushed into place and not got adjustment thingys. I've seen them lil mirrors look a bit silly :)

im trying to think of other things man, would love to come and help u tear it apart, i want to do this next year when iv got a bit more money

think your only options left are replacing every pannel with carbon(it is possible if you have the money... alternatively fiberglass bonnet/boot remove sunroof if it has one
