Did someone bend their sills recently??
Christ...i missed that thread til now..
Fair bit of damage there..
Seriously no damage mate??
The front bumper and passenger side side skirt didn't look too healthy.
I'd just trade in my car if anything like that happened, then again its a school boy error to lift any car on the factory supplied jack IMO...
Trolly jack and stands is the only way to lift a car properly..
The only thing that isn't fine is the drive. About an inch deep craters in two places!
lmao @ this thread
on a serious note, do you need a plank under the sills? ive always jacked up without, am i risking bending?
lol on that note I will get some pics of my sills.
Oh dear oh dear.
They are hardly recognisable as sills!
My car is going to be an awesome purchase when I sell. Anyone want dibs?

Always do matey, minimises the risk of bending the metal and/or damaging the paint/gravelguard, note the cloth on the axel stand too
If you must use a piece of wood, I wouldn't use soft wood like that piece and I certainly wouldn't put it with the grain running the same way as the sill.
Crack!!..........................and you will be Son of Sam !!!!!!!!
Hence the axel stand :rasp: lol
Hence the axel stand :rasp: lol
AXEL ? are you having a "Banana up the exhaust" moment ? :rasp:
You have still got to get the car high enough for the axle stand to go under, just turn the wood the other way, across the grain.
