They have been cheap as chips on Steam recently.
Played 1 a few years back, and have recently started 2.

3 doesn't look too bad. But I have never really rated the franchise IMHO.

I'm interested in it but I think I'll wait for the reviews before I buy, last one was okay, the first one was amazing, a MUST play game tbh.

It's activated through Steam so there's no chance of playing it before release anyway so I'll download it from GAME on Friday if the reviews are any good.

2 = s'alright, pretty s**t scary in the primary school level ;X

3 = Looks to have 4 hours of gameplay, playing through as each character - giving you total 8 hours.

....hope the m.p is good. lol

F.E.A.R. was amazing back in the day. Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate were also really really good.

F.E.A.R. 2 is good but I have not finished it yet, so can't draw a conclusion. The story hasn't gripped me TBH. I will finish it though. Then I'll probably buy the third game.

Just played the opening level twice, once as Point man second as Fettel, it's a nice addition to play as Fettel as they have different strengths, can't help but feel invincible teleporting from person to person with Fettel, but that's not a bad thing, it feels really good.

Graphics are on par with Crysis 2 from what I've seen, as you'd expect from a multiplatform title these days anyway but they're certainly not bad.

Classic Fear enemy AI is back too where you hear them shouting on the radio for support and updating their team of your position etc. Then there's the fast paced gameplay, just great fun to play at a fast pace.

Thumbs up from me so far. I can see a lot of replayability and I look forward to trying co-op. First level took me 32 minutes as Point man and 18 minutes as Fettel, just to give an idea of the length.
