F4R ignition timing at idle?

Anyone know what the ignition advance should be at idle 850rpm on the F4R engines when timing it up?? I know its probably in the 'special' section on this forum but i`m not a paying VIP!

It'll only be a tiny bit, just run it and when it's warm use live adjustments to tweek it until it sounds smoothest. All depends on cams & their timing as well as what CR you're using.

Its a standard engine, cams are standard duration, pistons are standard compression. I don`t understand your reply, it doesn`t make sense, sorry. The F4R engine will have a factory set ignition advance at 850rpm, used to set the engine timing when piston 1 is at TDC. Can someone please help or advise? Preferably a mechanic or someone who understands what i`m talking about??

why do you want to know this out of interest?
its not adjustable, its not information given out by manufactures because of this.

whats the problem with the car???

or are you mapping it?

to answer your question i'd imagine its somewhere around 20 deg btdc but never checked it due to lack of need to

Had a cambelt change recently on my car. Had a few weird issues with the engine and i sent Henk a data session. He suggested I check the ignition timing out just to be 100% sure its spot on, he had suspicions.

it's not ignition timing you need to be concerned with, it's the mechanical timing of the cams and crank. It's quite commonly done wrong

I never said that. I said in numerous emails to check your cam timing. That is something entirely different.
