Face lifting a mk2 clio

  CLIO !!
hi i have a mk2 phase 1 clio and i am thinking about getting it facelifted to the phase 2 front end, i have seen it done although im just wondering how hard it would be to do and what would be needed to perform the conversion?

He'll need the grill, bonnet & headlights too.

Plus the thing that would worry me would be that when I came to sell it people wold think it had a front end stuff & been replaced with later parts.

couldnt you merely add the bumber itself, by simply cutting off the diamond surround so that it would fit the ph1 shape? without worrying about bonnet and lights? ;)

  1.2 Dynamique billabong
also need new slam panel, bonnet catch and wings and probably a few other small bits depending if things like the radiator mounts in the same place, washer jet tubing, fog light wiring loom they are all unknowns.

to be honest i wouldnt do it as most buyers will instantly assume it had had a front end crash even though it hasnt, probably better to use the money that you were going to buy the parts with to upgrade to a newer model

its all bolt on...you need the following- wings/front bumper/grill/cross member/bulkhead-firewall/lights and light loom

its doable;)

Not worth it tbh. Not only will you need bumpers, bonnet, wings etc but you will likely have to get them painted which will cost a lot.

cost a bit but basically you need...

bonnet
bumper
grille
lights
slam pannel
bonnet catche
wings

by the time uve bought all that and painted it you would be as well just selling up and buying a ph2
