Put your windows done and take the fuse out. Not a legal requirement to have front windows, Ive done it before.

get the car tested at another station...

p.s. if you do decide to remove the tints...use a hand held steam cleaner...

i used one to de-tint my car...it took about 10 mins...lol...with no sticky residue....

Yea I have a mate who did that. The garage (a Vx dealer) tried to moan, but then realised that he was right. Side windows are not a legal requirement, neither is testing if they can go up or down.

The down plan sounds like it would probably work. The same as rear wiper and spare wheel.

put ur windows down..

maybe even take the fuse out so the tester cant use the windows..

I know many people that have had a chip in the windscreen, all they did was made sure the wipers and water worked first, then drove outside and kicked the window out. Passed no problem. As said in the MOT guidlines, "Can only test what is avaliable." Not those exact words however.

Windows down, fuse out, if you want to go to the extreme, take out the window buttons.

Downside is if its raining car will get wet lol

Ive never seen a car fail on window tints, although i have used it in the past to refuse to road test a car, inperticular one car than kept coming back for the slightest noise ever, told them i wasnt gonna road test it as i didnt want points :)

Surely this "if it's not there you cant test it" theory only goes so far, im presuming if i turn up and tell them that my car failed the brake test simply because the pads are not there and therefore cannot be tested and then demand an M.O.T certificate i will be seriously laughed at?
