Its time to get a Sport. If the creaking sunroof has finally worn you down then it proves the car isn't really entertaining you enough to distract you from the niggles.

If my Cup wasn't so much fun i'd have got rid of it years ago just on noises alone!

Hmmm. In that case, sell up and get a 106 Rallye for s**ts and giggles then upgrade to a 172 when you're 21.

obviosly none are perfect , but when your sunroof creaks every few seconds it pisses you off.. ( tried lubricating all the rubbers and that too )

the 318 is off a family member who cant drive it any more due to poor health so i could have it dirt cheap

Buy a Saxo VTS tbh, fun factor is on the same tramlines as a 172 and itll be moderatley cheaper to run

Get someone to take you out in an RS.

Then you will STFU and wait untill you can get insured on one. Exactly same happend to me mate. Turned 19 and bought my 182 and never looked back. Hated my 1.2. Absolutly love my 182.

I dont know why but it feels so much more "together" than my 1.2 ever did. It rattles half as much and puts a smile on my fface on demand..

Recently i have started driving it like a granny (shifting at 2k revs) then on occasion opening it up... Feels like a rocket ship!

If not - 106GTI.

thats what id do!

You shouldnt worry about 182 residuals with the current economy..

The value is never going to go back up so why bother...?

If you can get £1000 you could have youself a VTS and just kick its hole right in...!

You should mate, if you can get a VTS or GTi and get it upto about 160bhp and strip it to about 830kg's itll be about 190bhp/ton and doing 0-60 in sub 6 seconds.

Not that id know anything about that ;)
