When i spoke to europerformance they wer like , "yeah itll fit"...

bugger

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v

where the shock absorber goes onto the hub carrier. Its mounted using two bolts, take the wheel off and youll see what i mean.

Youre looking to measure the spacing between those two holes.

Can almost guarentee that its going to be 58mm though.

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v

measure from the center of the bolts and you should be fine

as i say though, most likely 58mm, cant think why itd be 52 or 54 on a 1.6 16v.

yep, 58mm there mate, mines 52mm and believe me its easier to swap the hubs than find a 52mm kit! lol!!!

All 1.6s are 58m.

You would be able to tell if they werent 58mm as well.

Very clean under those arches though how new is the car if you dont mind me asking?

because the 52mm spacing is only on the 1.2 8v as far as i know, meaning that if a kit is available, theres only 1 model of car it will fit  Swapping my hubs to get round this! lol!

^^^

that looks the nuts pal, am hoping to do the same to my car, how come your arches are clean and your hubs are rusted up??

didnt you fancy doing the job yourself?? what could possibily go wrong??

u gonna do your side strips?? get down halfords and save yourself £200

post some piccies when the jobs done!!!

thanks mate.... the car is only a few months old but after looking on here it would seem that the hubs rust like poo all the time  ( i hope thats true and its not just mine ). What are your hubs like ??

Do doubt ill be giving Fred a hand on Saturday, but thought id be better off going to someone who doesnt have two left hands.... Not the most mechanically minded person in the world, me.

I am going to colour code the car, door handles, front, rear and sides but not sure when im going to tackle that yet, i think id be ok with the sides but doing the front and rear id probably make a hash of them and possibly the door handles....

thanks for the comments though.
