My brothers headlights on his brand new clio keep steaming up. He took it back and they said there is nothing they can do with them and when prompted by the mot question they said in that instance they would turn them on until the condesation had gone then pass it. Is this correct, and is this a common problem

yes as they are not sealedmost new cars dont seem to have sealed lights and when the lights are on it gets rid of it

nothin to worry about mate, only takes a few minutes to de-mist when using ur lights, and when youre not using them it dont really matter!

as said above they will de mist if u leave the headlights on a few mins, there not sealed units so they are all like that, no u wont get them under warrenty sorry :)

they wont pay for headlights with condensation/mist in them.they will only pay if the headlight has a fair amount of water building up in the bottem.

if theres a large visible amount of water in there(not just heavy condensation)then you can claim under warranty.they started being funny about water in lights ever since they had loads of trouble with water ingress into foglights when the clio 2 first came out.
