Well the top set has a faster speed - ie 667Mhz instead of 533Mhz, but other than that i cant tell much difference, althogh the "slower" set will prob have a lower latency, so its swings and roundabouts tbh

2gb is plenty, if you can afford spend the extra and get the faster ram, but b/t the 2 you wont notice the diff. unless you intend on playing games,

I would go with the lower latency stuff.

Wikipedia said:
In computing, memory latency is the time between initiating a request for a byte or word in memory until it is retrieved. If the data is not in the processor's cache, it takes longer to obtain them, as the processor will have to communicate with the external memory cells. Latency is therefore a fundamental measure of the speed of memory: the less the latency, the faster the reading operation.

Nice edit ;)

I'll leave the rest of my post intact !

You have to understand because the clock speed is faster on the 5300 ram the time between the clock cycles is less on the faster ram therfor even although the CL is higher on the faster ram the cycles are faster than the slower ram meaning the actual latency of the two types is about the same !

Get the faster ram ! I would actually recommend going for at least 6400 !
