Laptop RAM Upgrade

So I've been thinking to get some for a while.

I have a Dell XPS M1330 running 2Gb at the moment, looking at an upgrade to 4GB, Crucial's website as given me an option of 2 kits - DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 and DDR2 PC2-5300 CL=5 .

Not a clue what the difference is, both have the same price too, currently I've got PC2 - 5300.

What do I do!? Need some advice please.

Well if you currently have PC2 - 5300, then stick with that

I probably will go for the 5300.

I was just curious to find out what difference the 6400 made.

6400 may make a very marginal difference,

But your laptop may downclock it anyway so there's not much point.
