fault code help

got a couple of error codes coming up to do with the fuel pump and fuel pump relay?

the thing i want to ask is does everyone's fuel pump continue to run when the ignition is turned on? i can hear my fuel pump just running all the time when the ignition is on. usually on most of my old electric fuel pumped cars you hear the pump prime then it goes quiet.

car runs perfect so im not sure if its a problem .

The fuel pump relay normally has a timer to pulse the pump and raise the pressure in the fuel line at key on.

Sounds like your relay's timer is kaput.....

The fuel pressure regulator dumps it back to the tank if it gets to high anyway so shouldn't affect the running.

But having it working would give the pump and the regulator an easier life
